Kahalu'u Beach
Of the many beaches on the Big Island, Kahalu'u Beach is one of the best snorkeling beaches with easy access. You will always see many varieties of tropical fish, and you may be lucky enough to swim with the giant sea turtles that swim in the bay. Right across the street from Country Club Villas is the Keauhou Shopping Center. It is filled with shops and restaurants along with a movie theatre and supermarket. There are also local events held weekly.
Punuhunuu Honaunau (City of Refuge)
This historically significant area is one of two National Parks on the Big Island. Located approximately 10 miles south of Keauhou, it is also known for snorkeling.
